DSC_0051Foothills is home to a gang of horses. We stand two stallions for breeding and occasionally breed our own mares.  The spring of 2014 marked the arrival of two new foals.  Klassic Ruby and Patrick O’Rielly.  They are growing up beautifully and clients constantly tell us they love driving by and seeing the horses romping around the fields.

Ruby has a brother, born June 4, 2016 at 3:00 am.  Doc helped her mare Olivia foal out and Hawkeye was up an nursing in less than an hour.  Foals are truly magical.  Watch the hills as this little guy loves to race around.  He already knows that he will be the future herd sire and at only a few month of age he’s beginning to check out the girls! Now he is developing into a beautiful young sire.  As his coat gradually changes from brown to white he will transform into a new horse every year and he will become more spectacular with each transformation – One of the joys of owning a grey horse.

Doc rides and trains the horses and does all the vet and farrier care herself.  They are her passion and time spent in the barn with the gang provides hours of amusement and joy.  Tom often comes to watch but we are still working on him to get in the saddle!
