At Foothills Veterinary Services our pets are our kids in fur jackets.  Each one of the gang has a special place in our family.  Duke our very large male Shepard loves his horse feeding duties and guy about the farm role.  His radar ears detect anything new in his surroundings and the speed that this guy can run and jump is truly amazing. Many of you will get the opportunity to meet Duke as he is in training in the clinic as well. Cleopatches the happiest rescue cat we have ever had is not quite as please since the big guy moved in but slowly they are getting used to each other.

Over the years we have been lucky to have several labs and German shepherds.  While they never live long enough we have had the fortune to see them all live to at least 13 years of age.  Our first labs were Chuffie and her brother Louie (black and chocolate labs) and then Winston a rescue (yellow lab).   Then came Chuffie puppy and her adopted grandmother Abby.  Next Daisy Duke and Rosie May sister German shepherds. Our first cats Sam and Rembrandt both lived to 19 and 16 respectively.  Their photos can be found on the walls in the hospital and they forever hold a warm spot in our hearts.

As Tom is fond of saying “The first thing she asked me was do I like animals”.
